The short version

1. What we collect about you

We keep our collection deliberately narrow. Here is the whole of it:

Category What it includes Why we have it
Account Unique ID, plan and licence status To create your account and unlock the features you paid for
Billing Stripe customer ID, invoice history, last four digits and card brand, billing country and any VAT number you enter To take payment, issue invoices and apply the right tax
Usage Number of exports and listings processed, plan limits consumed, timestamps, extension version To enforce plan quotas and to see what to fix or improve
Technical IP address, browser and operating system, error reports Security, fraud prevention and debugging
Support The emails you send us and our replies To answer you and keep a record of the exchange

We do not ask for your name, postal address or phone number, and we do not buy personal data about you from anyone else.

2. What the extension accesses in your browser

MapScrapperPro is granted permission to run on map search pages only. It activates when you are on such a page and stays inert everywhere else — it cannot read your other tabs, your history, your bookmarks or your saved passwords.

It does not sign in to any account for you and never asks for your Google credentials. Your plan status is checked against our servers using your licence, and nothing about the page content is sent along with that check.

In line with the Chrome Web Store's Limited Use requirements, the data the extension handles is used solely to provide the export feature you asked for. It is not sold, and not used for advertising or for building profiles.

3. The data you export

The business listings you extract are not transmitted to us and are not stored by us. Extraction happens locally in your browser, and the CSV is written straight to your own device. We have no copy, no database of listings, and no way to look at what you exported.

That also means the responsibility for that data sits with you. Once a listing is in your file, you are the data controller for it: deciding whether you may hold it, how long you keep it, and how you contact those businesses is governed by the laws that apply to you — the GDPR in the EU and UK, CAN-SPAM in the United States, and their local equivalents elsewhere. Section 5 of our Terms of Service covers this in more detail.

4. How we use your data

We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. These do not require consent.

For audience measurement we use Pixel Meta. Where this involves non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent first, and declining leaves the site fully usable.

7. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers we need to operate, each bound to process it on our instructions:

Provider Purpose Data involved
Stripe Payment processing and invoicing Email, billing details, payment method
Hostinger Application and database hosting Account ID and usage data

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or as part of a merger or acquisition — in which case you would be told before your data became subject to a different policy.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. You can ask us which mechanism applies to a given provider.

9. How long we keep it

10. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it and protected by two-factor authentication. Card numbers never touch our infrastructure — Stripe handles them.

No system is immune. If a breach affects your personal data and is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within the deadlines the law sets.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

Write to info@mapscrapperpro.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

12. California residents

Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, ask for deletion or correction, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Use the same address above to make a request.

13. Children

MapScrapperPro is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the product and the law evolve. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.

15. Contacting us
